Do you like Hip Hop music or Rap? Are you a fan of realistic fiction? If so, this novel is for you!
This novel has action, a suspensful plot and a little romance. The main character, Tory, is growing up in a single parent home in a hard section of NYC. Tory is very passionate about his music and loves to mix tracks and make his own beats. What happens when Tory and his buddy enter their music in a contest sponsored by the hottest radio station in the tri-state area? There is so much more going on in this novel than that! Find out by reading the book. Recommended for students in grades 8 and up.

when you say recommened for grades 8 and up does that mean a 7th grader shouldnt read it? because i am on a 9th grade reading level but i am in the 7th grade. i like books that are harder to read. mrs. tazz could i read this book. just wondering. thanks. :)
What a great question! The reason I recommended this book for 8th graders is not because of the reading level, it is because of the content and the ages of the characters in the book. Everyone is different and has different maturity levels. So, a seventh grader could definately read this book. Come and see me in the library and we'll talk about it!
