Two Great Books to Read- Don't Miss These Books!

I recently read the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It was just wonderful and I highly recommend it for all students and teachers.  Pick this book up to immerse yourself in an inspirational story about a boy with a facial disfigurement and his experience of going to school for the first time.

Another book I have recently enjoyed is The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. This is sure to become a new classic and is loosely based on a true story of a silver back gorilla who is on display at a shopping mall.

I read Wonder in a day. You will be surprised with each easy chapter. It seems realistic the way the kids interact. It shows several kids' views and thoughts, so it stays interesting. It made me Wonder! Great book!!

I read The One and Only Ivan. The words and phrases were very short, but fit the way a gorilla would think I suppose. It was a quick read, with surprises and a variety of characters. Enjoy!
