In the month of February, the Sims library raised over $400 in books from the book fair. All of these books have been processed and added to the collection. Students are now checking these books out and enjoying them. Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Swindle are two of the favorites. A big hug to all the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles in the car line who donated to the "One for Books" Program. Our media specialist, Mrs. Tazerouti, collected $68.50 which enabled us to purchase books for 13 students! Thank you very much for your support.
March is off to a great start!On March 1st, 22 students and four teachers went to Spartanburg to participate in the Spartanburg Public Library's annual Jamboread. Students participated in many activities at the library including author talks and book signings. Each student came home with at least one book from the event. Some of their teachers donated money so that students could purchase these books.
